The restaurant’s interior is designed to reflect the opulence of this historical period, featuring sophisticated decor with bespoke art pieces by Australian-Chinese artist Lindy Lee.
This blend of modern sophistication and traditional luxury creates a unique dining atmosphere that resonates with both historical richness and modern aesthetics.
The menu at T’ang Court is a culinary journey through Cantonese traditions, utilising the freshest local and seasonal ingredients. With the latest additions to the menu introduced on this July, diners can now choose from an array of a la carte options or two degustation menus that take diners on a journey through the rich tapestry of Cantonese cuisine.
Signature dishes include the three-part ode to traditional Cantonese duck, which features duck pancakes with chef’s special hoi sin sauce, duck buns with lychee and raspberry sauce, and sliced duck breast and leg with plum sauce. Other new standout offerings include Shaoxing wine marinated Australian baby green lip abalone as well as the signature barbecued char siu pork with honey glaze.
Executive Chef, Kwok Wai Shum, leads the kitchen, ensuring each dish is a testament to authentic Cantonese flavours and cooking techniques. His expertise is evident in dishes like the sautéed parsley pearl meat with ginger and shallot, and the wok-fried live mud crab with ginger and spring onion sauce. Each dish is meticulously crafted to highlight the natural flavours of the ingredients while incorporating traditional Cantonese cooking methods.
The restaurant’s design and culinary excellence are complemented by a carefully curated wine list, awarded two wine glasses in the 2023 Australian Wine List of The Year Awards, making T’ang Court not just a meal, but a complete sensory experience.
The venue seating 80 guests provides an intimate yet grand setting for diners to enjoy their meals.. The private dining and semi-private areas, hidden behind doors and screens, add an element of exclusivity, allowing guests to dine in comfort and seclusion.
