A Queensland doctor has denied sexually assaulting and trying to kiss a woman after a medical procedure.

Dr Olajide Olusesan Ogunseye is on trial in the Brisbane District Court after pleading not guilty to one count of rape.
The 53-year-old doctor is accused of penetrating the womanās vagina with one or more fingers after doing a pap smear at his Hervey Bay business on October 4, 2018.
Prosecutor Noel Needham said the Crownās case was that Ogunseye touched the womanās clitoris with his fingers before trying to kiss her mouth after the medical procedure.
When she sat up and got dressed he allegedly apologised and tried to hug her before she left the room.
āIt is those acts that the Crown says betrayed his true intention,ā Needham said on Monday.
But defence barrister Angus Edwards says the jury will need to consider whether Ogunseye was conducting himself as a doctor doing a proper medical examination.
He asked jurors to consider that English language and Australian culture are not native to Ogunseye.
āYou might take into account there may be cultural language reasons for his approachā in apologising to the woman during a later conversation.
The trial continues.
