Scenic Rim Eat Local Month returns this June with vineyard lunches, campfire cook-ups and farm feasts

Queensland’s ultimate paddock-to-plate food and farming festival Scenic Rim Eat Local Month is back and it’s serving up a full month of flavour, fun and farm-fresh adventures. From May 30 to June 29, the Scenic Rim will transform into one giant moveable feast, packed with more than 100 events guaranteed to tempt your taste buds and fill your calendar while showcasing what it really means to eat local.

The Scenic Rim Eat Local Month 2025 program is stacked with goodness, inviting food-lovers to enjoy more than 40 long lunches and dinners, 60 on-farm adventures and 45 family-friendly experiences – all just an hours drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Each weekend, Scenic Rim Eat Local Month focuses on a different area, making the events easily doable in a day trip, or over a weekend getaway. On the first weekend (May 30 to June 1) the towns of Canungra, Tamborine Mountain and Beechmont are in the spotlight – think lunches like the Italian-themed La Dolce Vita Soiree at Sarabah Estate and the Foraged, Fired and Farmed Lunch at Binna Burra Lodge, drop-in amaro tasting at Loborn and Brewmaster for a Day sessions at Boxer Brewing Co.

On the second weekend (June 6–8), venture to Boonah, Kalbar, Harrisville and Mount Alford for events like the Fermented Food Festival, the Long Lunch by the Lake at Boonah’s Roastbeef and The Frog, and the Heritage Poultry Farm Tour and Sunset Dinner. For some family-friendly fun, check out the Towri Growers Market, enjoy the Edible Flower Picking and Cupcake Decorating workshop at Elderflower Farm, and get dirty at the Veggie Picking with the Farmer session at Valley Pride Produce. 

Mid-month (June 13–15), there’s the Scenic Rim Farming Expo in Harrisville, unmissable food events like Twilight by the Fire: A Long-Table Winter Feast at Mrs Frost’s Kitchen and the Eat Local Long Lunch at Spicers Peak Lodge, and for the little adventurers there’s the Kid’s Camel Farm Adventure at Summer Land Camels. On the weekend of June 21-23, explore Beaudesert, Kerry, Allenview and Oaky Creek and rub shoulders with cuddly sheep at the Towri Farm High Tea, enjoy a feast for the senses at Tommerup Dairy Farm’s Smoke and Mirrors lunch, and gather under the stars at the Winter Solstice Campfire Cookout

Mark your calendars for the final weekend on June 27–29 when the Scenic Rim Eat Local Month wraps up with the Winter Harvest Festival at Kalbar, alongside culinary events like the Chefs in the Country lunch at Spicers Hidden Vale, the Winter Harvest Dinner at Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm, and the family-friendly Harvest Hoedown at The Cow Bar.
