Ken Done: No Rules Exhibition

Beloved Australian painter, Ken Done, is bringing his iconic world of colour to HOTA this September, in a landmark exhibition celebrating over 4 decades worth of the artist’s work.

Ken Done: No Rules invites the viewer to step into the artist’s vibrant imagination and the bold painting practice that has made him a household name. Ken’s joyful portrayals of nature, from his home and garden, to reefs and harbours, capture his contagious optimism which has left Australian audiences in awe for over 40 years.

Featuring pieces from as far back as the 80’s, the No Rules exhibition draws mostly from Ken Done’s personal collection, as well as an exclusive new animation of the 85 year old’s work.

Joining the exhibition is a selection of collaborative garments from Done Zone, designed in 2023 by Ken Done and Australian fashion label Romance Was Born.

The Ken Done Gallery in Sydney curates and presents the Ken Done: No Rules exhibition, showcasing an exciting partnership. Ken’s work will be available for viewing at HOTA until February 2026. Tickets are available here.
