On Thursday July 10, lauded South Australian winery Maxwell Wines will be treating Brisbane foodies to an exclusive one-off collaboration with cherished Woolloongabba restaurant, C’est Bon. Here’s what’s on the menu …

Maxwell Wines, McLaren Vale’s celebrated five-star winery and meadery, is the product of three generations of the Maxwell family. Widely adored for its selection of terroir-driven wines and ingenious culinary offering, Maxwell Wines has earned a stellar reputation for setting the benchmark when it comes to industry standards.

Next month, Maxwell Wines’ executive chef Fabian Lehmann will team up with Andy Ashby of C’est Bon to create a menu that blends Fabian’s Michelin-trained skills with Andy’s flair for phenomenal French cuisine. Those lucky enough to score a seat will be treated to four snacks and four courses of classic French dishes crafted from local Queensland produce, with standouts including edible oyster shells (made using oyster mousse and champagne gel), French onion meringue with foie gras and duck heart, Tete de Porc with Scenic Rim barley and winter truffle, and wagyu beef with smoked eel and mushroom. This offering will be paired with a selection of Maxwell’s outstanding McLaren Vale wines – including its 97pt Grenache, harvested from 97-year-old vines.

“Bringing Maxwell Wines’ unique flavours and dishes to Brisbane alongside Andy at C’est Bon is a wonderful opportunity to share the essence of McLaren Vale,” says Fabian Lehmann. “Our philosophy is all about respecting the land and our ingredients – creating dishes that complement the depth and character of our wines. I can’t wait for guests to experience this harmony in every bite and sip.”

Early bookings are encouraged for this exclusive night of feasting, with reservations now open for $185 per person. Head to the C’est Bon website to secure your spot.
