Shake & Stir Theatre Co is resurrecting Mary Shelley’s monster hit Frankenstein for a strictly limited return season at QPAC from May 24 to June 8. After a sell-out debut in 2023, Frankenstein will claw its way out of the shadows by popular demand to give Mary Shelley’s virtuosic masterpiece another jolt of 21st-century genius. The spectacular large-scale theatrical adaption utilises cutting-edge production elements, including high-voltage tech, to take audiences on a spine-tingling thrill-ride and bring the literary classic to life.

Expect to feel every electrifying moment as towering 140-sqm LED video panels, pyrotechnics and cinematic visuals are blended with the power of live theatre to deliver an authentic yet contemporary retelling of Victor Frankenstein, who challenges the boundaries of science and morality to bring a creature to life from the remnants of the dead. As his creation lurches into existence, the line between brilliance and madness blurs – with devastating consequences.
