In August 2025, Sprout Artisan Bakery opened the doors to its brand-new production facility and retail space at Craft’d Grounds in Albion – a major milestone for founders Lutz Richter and Rebecca Foley, who began their journey in 2014 at Salisbury’s Food Connect. Housed in a beautifully repurposed timber mill and brought to life by Clui Design and Lowry Group, the new HQ blends industrial charm with cutting-edge efficiency, offering customers a behind-the-scenes look at Sprout’s midnight-to-morning baking process. While the bakery continues to serve its much-loved croissants, danishes, sourdoughs and other classics, the move gives the team room to innovate, collaborate and celebrate the skilled hands behind the brand. Though the retail area is grab-and-go focused, expect plenty of reasons to linger – from voyeuristic views into the bakery to a line-up of refreshing house-made drinks. Sprout also operates a standalone shopfront on James Street in addition to weekend market stalls in Rocklea and Nundah.
