After a series of hit arena concerts, ever-popular vocal group Human Nature plans to take their show on the road across regional Queensland.
Only days after wrapping up their capital city national tour, global superstars and much-loved pop vocal group Human Nature has announced their MTWN20 show will tour to select regional towns around Australia.
And that includes a generous sweep through Queensland, beginning in Mackay on September 24 and including Townsville, Cairns, Gladstone, Caloundra and finishing up in Maryborough on October 3. After that they will continue south of the border.
Human Nature has firmly established itself as one of the premier pop-vocal groups of the modern era. The group first captured the attention of the Australian public in 1996 and has since gained international acclaim for its signature harmonies and dynamic live performances. Comprising brothers Andrew and Mike Tierney, along with Phil Burton and Toby Allen, Human Nature rose to prominence in Australia before building a loyal global fan base.
Originally formed in high school under the name The 4Trax, the group has enjoyed a distinguished career since signing with Sony Music more than two decades ago. Their discography includes 13 studio albums, four of which reached No. 1 in Australia. They have earned 27 platinum certifications, achieved 19 Top 40 singles and secured five Top 10 hits worldwide, with more than 2.5 million albums sold in Australia alone.
A major turning point came with the release of Reach Out in 2005, a tribute to Motown legends such as Smokey Robinson, The Supremes, The Temptations and Stevie Wonder. The album was a commercial and critical triumph, achieving over seven times Platinum status and becoming one of Australia’s most-loved records.
Human Nature have continued to thrive, reinforcing their reputation as a world-class vocal group. The group has released a new single – a cover of the iconic Motown hit of Diana Ross Upside Down to complement the MTWN20 shows across Australia – available on all streaming platforms now.
Fresh from the arena audiences, Human Nature will continue to take fans back on a one-way ticket to nostalgia with this new live show that promises to relive the timeless sound of Motown in style.
MTWN20 will see Human Nature delivering hits from all three of the group’s Motown albums and beyond. Expect a setlist packed with fan favourites such as My Girl, Baby I Need Your Lovin’, Easy and I’ll Be There, alongside their own chart-toppers.
Group member Phil Burton says he was “absolutely blown away by the reaction to our MTWN20 shows”.
“The excitement of the audiences and the sheer fun of celebrating the 20th anniversary of our Motown journey was just incredible,” Burton says.
“To have the chance to take the show to even more of our awesome fans is a dream come true, and we can’t wait to jump back in the van and travel to even more places to continue the party with you all.”
